Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 19 July 2026
JunkGuys is committed to making our website and our junk removal, clean-out and demolition service easy to use for everyone on the Garden Route, including people with disabilities, older customers, and people using older phones or slow connections.
1. Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and to uphold the principles of the Promotion of Equality and Prevention of Unfair Discrimination Act, 2000. We treat accessibility as an ongoing process and not a once-off project.
2. What we have done on this website
- Semantic headings and landmarks so screen readers can navigate each page.
- Text alternatives on meaningful images and icons.
- Colour contrast tested against WCAG AA on primary text, buttons and links.
- A visible keyboard focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link.
- Tap targets sized for mobile use, including on smaller phones.
- Responsive layouts that work on mobile, tablet and desktop, and support text zoom up to 200%.
- Forms with clearly labelled fields, error messages and consent options.
3. Known limitations
Some older customer photos on the site may have limited alt text. A small number of embedded third-party maps or forms may not fully meet WCAG AA. We are working on these and prioritising the pages customers use most.
4. Getting help another way
If any part of the website is hard to use, you do not need to struggle with it. You can contact us directly and we will help you in the way that works best for you:
- Call us on 066 133 0150.
- WhatsApp us on 066 133 0150, including voice notes and photos of the load.
- Email us at hello@junkguys.co.za.
We are happy to take quote details over the phone or WhatsApp instead of the online form, and to arrange on-site visits where that is easier.
5. Accessibility on the day of the job
- Our crew will introduce themselves clearly and confirm what will be moved before starting.
- We can work with a family member, caregiver or building manager as your point of contact if you prefer.
- We take care around mobility aids, ramps, service animals and quiet living spaces.
- Written quotes and invoices are available in a plain, easy-to-read format on request.
6. Feedback
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of our website and our service. If you run into a barrier, please tell us so we can fix it. Email hello@junkguys.co.za or call 066 133 0150 and we will respond within a reasonable time.
7. Updates
This statement is reviewed regularly. The last review date is shown at the top of the page.
